OBJECTIVE

Show how the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, business improvement district organization, serves as the primary champion for Downtown Brooklyn as a world-class business, cultural, educational, residential and retail destination.

PUTTING THE PUZZLE TOGETHER

Shoots were orchestrated with a wide range of organizations and at events around Downtown Brooklyn, from restaurants to startups in the Tech Triangle to community arts centers like BRIC and the early morning street sweepers of the DOE Fund.

Each shoot day’s collaborator was chosen for their particular area of expertise. A timelapse photographer was positioned on the roof of a building to capture downtown BK at dawn. Concert videographers were deployed to Albee Square for the block party. A DP specializing in gimbal stabilizer operation was hired to capture smooth, beautiful B-Roll of the neighborhood and an DP with plenty of quick interview experience was setup lights on the fly to accommodate the busy schedules of our on-camera subjects.

FINAL PRODUCT

Narration from interviews with DBP team members and community stakeholders pair with gliding slow motion vistas of the neighborhood - punctuated by the rich cultural happenings at a block party concert event put on by The Partnership.
